
The British Royal family does not have a last name anymore.
here is the story summed up and dumbed down:
before world war 1 they had one, but since they were related to some Germans it sounded very German so after the war started the King (George) got rid of it. instead changing them to "The House of Windsor" after throwing around the ideas of "Tudor-Stuart", or "England."
Larry, who is a regular in our bar and always bring me chocolates told me that story. I looked it up, its true.
